Project COASTLINE

BR-2026-4245 · Coastline Goods · SS27 Brand Anthem — Global Launch · Issued May 14, 2026 · Due May 17, 2026
The Scene

Coastline is repositioning from accessible-coastal basics into something more ambitious — still grounded in natural fabrics and unfussy design, but stepping into editorial-level aspiration. The SS27 campaign anchors on a single manifesto line: "Made for motion." Talent moves through open landscapes — cliffs, dunes, warehouse studios — wearing the line as activewear-adjacent daywear. Not athleisure. Not resort wear. Something restrained but alive.

The Music

We need euphoric electronic pop that holds sophistication and kinetic energy simultaneously — polished but never glossy, hooky but never saccharine.

Direction
  • Write as if you're producing an instrumental B-side for a credible pop act — Caroline Polachek's textural side, not her bombast. Melodic phrases that resolve but don't announce themselves. Arpeggiated synth work, filtered pads, clean percussion that breathes.
  • Leave consistent space for manifesto VO throughout — music should sit underneath without competing. Build toward euphoria in the final third but don't drop; let it crest and sustain.
References
SOAK — Valentine's Day
Use: This restraint, this melodic clarity — but push it more electronic, less bedroom-pop organic. Synth palette instead of guitar-led.
Roosevelt — Paralyzed
Use: The propulsive bass and euphoric build are right, but strip out the obvious hook vocal moments. We need the energy with more negative space.
