Project Steel Fracture

BR-2026-4370 · Ironclad Motors · Q3 Crossover Series Launch Campaign · Issued May 27, 2026 · Due June 1, 2026
The Scene

Three new crossover models launching simultaneously, positioned as urban-defiant workhorses. The campaign shows vehicles navigating industrial zones, construction sites, and abandoned infrastructure at dusk. We're moving away from the aspirational luxury palette that defined our sedan work over the past five years. This is rawer, tougher, built for utility without apologizing for it. Picture opens on a single vehicle entering a crumbling overpass zone. Fifteen seconds of vehicle choreography through concrete barriers and rebar. Final ten seconds reveal all three models in formation with logo treatment. VO delivers spec callouts (towing capacity, cargo volume, AWD standard) but stays minimal. The music needs to carry the emotional weight.

The Music

We want something that feels like a film score cue dropped into a car spot, tense and industrial with electronic textures, building toward a defiant final act. Not a vehicle reveal cliche. Not a generic percussive rock bed. Think Trent Reznor scoring an automotive launch, restraint giving way to power.

Direction
  • Open spare. Lone synth pad or low sub-drone. Tension in the silence. First 8-10 seconds are about establishing unease, not momentum.
  • Introduce rhythmic elements around 0:10, mechanical pulse, metallic hits, but keep density low. The build is glacial until 0:20.
  • Final ten seconds are the payoff. Full cinematic statement, layered synth harmonics, wide sub, percussive authority. This is where the track reveals its power.
  • The :15 cutdown should preserve the glacial-to-defiant arc in compressed form. Open tense, land defiant. The :06 sting is pure authority, no tension.
References
Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, In Motion
Use: The restraint and texture are right, the way it withholds resolution. But we need more percussive authority in the final act, less ambient drift.
Ben Frost, Threshold of Faith
Use: Love the metallic shimmer and industrial grain. But pull back from the wall-of-sound density. We need space for VO and more structural clarity.
Cliff Martinez, First Sleep
Use: The analog warmth underneath the electronic surface is close. But this is too meditative. We need more forward momentum and a harder final statement.

Minor or modal preferred. Avoid clear major resolutions. Harmonic ambiguity supports the tension.

Fully instrumental. No lead vocals. Textural vocal pads or processed breath elements acceptable if they support the industrial-cinematic palette, but not required.
